Margres is one of the leading international brands in the production of porcelain stoneware for floors and walls, a material of excellence that combines high technical performance, contemporary aesthetics, and design versatility. Founded in 1982 in Ílhavo, Portugal, Margres was one of the first companies in the world to focus exclusively on the production of porcelain stoneware, immediately establishing itself as a benchmark in the sector. Since 2002, Margres has been part of the Italian group Panariagroup Industrie Ceramiche S.p.A., one of the leading international players in the production of ceramic floor and wall tiles in the high-end and luxury segments. With eight production plants in Europe and the United States, over 1,700 employees, and a presence in more than 130 countries, Panariagroup guarantees Margres a global vision, advanced know-how, and a constant focus on innovation. In Portugal, Panariagroup is represented by Gres Panaria Portugal S.A., founded in 2006, which integrates two production centers in Ílhavo and Aveiro, with a total production capacity of over 8 million m² per year and a workforce of approximately 400 people. Supporting over 2,000 customers, the sales network has 70 agents and 8 promoters, distributed in over 113 countries.
